Though it took me a while to fully appreciate the fact, Life is indeed a gift. So it stands to reason, whether you're religious or not, you should be thankful for it, in your own way. The universe doesn't have to be here, after all...
I hope that when my life comes to an end, my reality will be somewhat akin to the cartoon above, as opposed to something more bleak and terrifying, life would seem like such a wicked waste if it didn't.
